Its a Buddist idol which grants good luck whilst offering protection. Ours is made of wood and has a moveable mandible. It also came with a gnarly looking sword.

We're going to an animal themed costume party next month so trying to decide what animal we'll go as. We were originally thinking a Rooster but they are deceptively tricky to draw. So now we're thinking goat or maybe dog? To be honest we don't know at this point but as soon as we do we'll let you know...
