he should have won

This is a campaign for Seamus Walsh (and for all who share his sorry tale).

Seamus lives in London, has nice friends, a good job, a lovely girlfriend but there’s just one thing making him sad. Seamus wants to go home. Not forever. Just for a bit because he misses his family in New Zealand who he hasn't seen in 3 years. He’s been through the wars recently, undergoing a major operation which has kept him out of work. His family too have been through a lot what with the earthquakes and the recession. They are all desperate to see each other but neither can afford it.
The only likely way Seamus will see his family would be to swim or spend months rowing in a leaky boat.

His numerous efforts to win a trip home have all been in vain but his sad loser story has touched the hearts of many.

From Hollywood to Russia a small collective of folks have united to say...

“He should have won”

do the astral plane

Two wholly separate events but each contained elements which made me think of the other.
Tacita Dean's 'Film' in the Tate's Turbine Hall and Flying Lotus at the Roundhouse.

The cosmological theme was there in both, (flying moons, comets, pyramids, floating eyes blinking in space)
but also quite uncanny were the unnerving visual transitions where images would fracture and burst using similar kaleidoscopic effects.

Also noted were the myriad of drug referencess in Dean's film which had me in giggles. Completely unintentional? Who knows...
