On Wednesday 18th September Nino Paulito will be exhibiting as part of a group photography exhibition titled Intersectional London.
Presented by Not So Popular, Intersectional London explores the social and personal identities of young people who work and live in the city. Who does the city of London belong to? Who benefits from cosmopolitanism? Does living in London reinforce or clash with social and personal identities? Are some of the questions being probed through the medium of photography.
For this exhibition, Nino Paulito will present a new series of photographs accompanied by a written diary of experiences noted whilst capturing them. All images were created over a week and thematically follow Nino's recent relocation from the bustling inner city to the leafy suburbs via the River Thames. Dr. Nira Yuval-Davis and Tayo Akindeinde (Queen Mary, University of London) will also be speaking on the night, discussing the subject of Cosmopolitanism.
Intersectional London is hosted at Hackney's Netil House studios for one night only. Doors open at 7 and entry is free.
