Two wholly separate events but each contained elements which made me think of the other.
Tacita Dean's 'Film' in the Tate's Turbine Hall and Flying Lotus at the Roundhouse.

The cosmological theme was there in both, (flying moons, comets, pyramids, floating eyes blinking in space)
but also quite uncanny were the unnerving visual transitions where images would fracture and burst using similar kaleidoscopic effects.

Also noted were the myriad of drug referencess in Dean's film which had me in giggles. Completely unintentional? Who knows...
